The Blur Building media Pavilion
by Diller Scofidio + Renfro for Swiss Expo 2002 on Lake Neuchchatel in Yverdon -Les-Bains, Switzerland.
The Blur Building was inspired by Buckminster Fuller structures and consisted of a tensegrity system of rectilinear struts and diagonal rod cantilevered out over the lake, accessed by ramps.
Filtered lake water shot as a fine mist through13, 000 fog nozzles and created an artificial cloud that responded to changing weather conditions.
